In the afternoon when the sun's rays are hot and glaring, the sensor will detect and compare the sunlight's lighting level reading and direction with the preset reading.

When it exceeds the preset reading, the automated system will determine which direction the drop awning should be extended or retracted depending on the sunlight readings.

After the whole process, the drop awning will then provide the necessary shade required.

Thereby giving maximum efficiency in shading and optimum savings in air-conditioning electricity costs.
